HSSA adoption events for $100K Challenge this weekend | Events

The Humane Society is making strides toward their $100K Challenge goal, so far they have adopted over 879 dogs and cats.

Here are a few events this weekend you can mark on your calendars to help the Humane Society:

Premiere Auto’s Scott Lehman is extending the free adoptions this weekend with events at the Main shelter site and two satellite PAWSH stores. This is a special event where all mixed breed dogs, cats, puppies and kittens are up for free adoption; purebred animals will be half off.  As an added bonus KRQQ will set up live at the main shelter to provide music and a remote broadcast, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (this was also set up by Lehman).

The next adoption stop is Park Place, hosting a pet adoption in the Center Court area from noon to 4 p.m.  There is something for everyone, in addition to adoptable animals there will be a kid-friendly fortune teller, face painting and a photographer to take free pet portraits.  Adopters are even eligible for a paw print tile from ‘Color Me Mine’. 

Tucson Mall is no to be left off the events list.  The Kiehl’s counter inside Dillards is holding an adoption event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

La Encantada is also hosting some adoptable animals at Anthropologie from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

As if these dates weren’t enough PetSmart is joining the fun with adoptable animals at their location 3850 W. River Road from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both September 15 & 16. 

The Humane Society is also extending their ‘Pay the Date’ promotion for the rest of September.  The fee of the animal for adoption will depend on the date the animal is adopted (example an animal adopted this weekend would be $15 or $16, while one adopted on the 30th would be $30).  This special pricing is for all mixed breed adult dogs over 25 pounds and adult cats.
