TUCSON, Ariz. (Tucson News Now) - Pima County is seeking private employers to host young employees this summer.
According to a media release, the Pima County One-Stop Career Center and its contractors have limited funds to help pay these workers who get accepted into the program around 1,500 of them, minimum wage.
The County is looking for private sector professionals in Tucson, notably architectural, legal, medical and veterinary firms to host young temporary employees this summer, especially in June and July.
The Summer Youth Employment Program received more than 4,000 applications last year from people ages 14 to 21, hoping to get a summer job with a private employer or government agency.
