D-M airman turns house into Christmas light show

A Davis-Monthan Air Force Base airman has once again set up his house with a computerized display of about 35,000 lights dancing along to Christmas music.

He started the tradition the year his son was born, to create an annual family project. If you drive by the airman's house in Rita Ranch and tune your radio to 95.1FM, you can enjoy this Christmas light show he and his family worked so hard to create.

Winterhaven festival of light kicks off with great attendance

TUCSON, AZ (KOLD) - The Winterhaven Festival of Lights brightened the community's holiday spirit as it kicked off on Saturday night.

The streets lit up with bright lights, festive decorations, the sound of horse carriages, Christmas carols, and the smell of hot chocolate and freshly popped Kettle corn.

The 62nd annual event is one of the longest running festivals of its kind in the country.

Pararescueman wins new Jeep Wrangler Call of Duty: MW3 Edition

An airman stationed at Davis-Monthan AFB won a new Jeep Wrangler for coming out on top in a recent competition. Air Force Pararescueman Luke Dryden was awarded a Call of Duty: MW3 Edition, brand new Jeep Wrangler.

Dryden competed in a web-based reality show called "Maximum Warrior" against nine other military servicemen in ten combat scenario challenges.

The United States Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron, known to the world as the Thunderbirds, released their 2012 Show Season Schedule Monday announcing that they will perform at the “Thunder and Lightning over Arizona – Celebrating 100 Years of Statehood” Open House at Davis-Monthan AFB, April 14-15.

Arizonans can help design women veterans license plate

Starting Veteran's Day, Arizonans will be able to submit their entries for a new design for the Arizona Women Veteran’s License Plate, according to a news release.

Representative Terri Proud created a website where you can submit your design entries.
